The Leicestershire Social Care Development Group (LSCDG) has been operational since 2006, and it's aim is to support with workforce development and raise quality for the independent, private and voluntary sectors across Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland. They work with over 400 adult social care providers, that includes; Care Homes, Nursing Homes and Domiciliary Care Agencies.
The LSCDG deliver a series of training courses, delivered by experts in their field. They work with partners to help formulate and direct the training plans as well keeping providers up to date with implementing new legislation and procedures.
How do we support providers? Their main function is to organise and arrange fully funded training that runs from April to March each year which includes a selection of core training. The training catalogue consists of fully funded courses, such as:
- Moving & Handling
- Mental Capacity Act
- Deprivation of Liberty
- Leadership Modules
