Overview

Company: Rushcliffe Care Location: Ashby de la Zouch & Coalville Job Type: Part-Time Hourly Rate / Salary: Salary: £9,00 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications. Working Hours: Full time, average 30 hours per week, 5 days per week. Could be from 9.30am, 6 hours per day, any days Monday to Sunday to suit the resident’s needs.

The Role

What we look for in our Activities Coordinator

As an Activities Coordinator at Rushcliffe care home, you will be part of a fantastic team to help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional supportive care for our residents. Here at Coalville Care Home, we meet the needs of adults in our nursing and social care therapeutic environment, so someone who can quickly adapt to situations to meet out resident's needs is paramount as no two days are the same. Out ethos is all about our residents, so you will help to devise imaginative, fun, and creative activities that suit every interest and ability of our residents. This is an extremely rewarding role, part of your time as an Activities Coordinator will be spent getting to know our residents and their families before you create tailored activities programmes focused on maximising everyone's wellbeing, independence, and social engagement.

You may also be expected to organise and attend holidays with our residents as required.

About You
You will need to be warm, empathetic, and personable to join us as an Activities Coordinator. Your organisational skills and driven mind-set mean you always get things done and make things happen. Meanwhile, your infectious enthusiasm and creative approach will inspire our residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community. Any similar experience would be advantageous and experience in fundraising/event Co-ordinating would be an added bonus.

If you have: -

  • 'bags of energy,'
  • creative skills organising activities for people with a variety of different requirements,
  • can display initiative and flexibility to the needs of the unit and the people that live here,
  • fundraising and event organisation skills,
  • the ability to work in a team and understand the importance of partnership working,

About our Coalville Care Home

Our Coalville Nursing and Residential Care Home is a purpose built 40 bedded Unit Caring for our Elderly and provides excellent levels of Nursing and Social care within a therapeutic environment. With our active Nursing Team help support, train, and deliver the identified case needs of its residents. The pretty courtyard garden is wheelchair friendly and provides sensory stimulation. The integral sensory room has various specific sensory equipment to aid relaxation.
