About our charity

At Mosaic 1898, we support over 2,000 people every week in Leicestershire who are living with disabilities.

Our team of over 100 dedicated staff members and 70 wonderful volunteers help make it all happen and work together to deliver a total of 12 different services for people in the Leicestershire community.

Our charity was founded in 1898 and since then we have gone on to change the lives of hundreds of thousands. Now, in 2021, we're far from finished and are looking for the latest additions to our team who'll help us further our reach and continue to make a real difference.

About the role

Our Community Assistants will join our Colton Care team to do just that: offering life enhancing support and care to people with disabilities in their homes.

A vital part of the Community Assistant role is to encourage customer's active participation in all aspects of life, delivering support and care in their home which promotes the customer choice, rights, privacy and dignity.

We are looking for the right person to support an individual on a 1.1 basis in the LE3 area. To provide support with daily living activities, social events, work commitments.

The role includes assisting with personal care, food preparation and assisting to feed as well as the administration of medication.

About you

A strong commitment to empowering disabled people is essential as is a caring nature and desire to provide a first class level of support.

A commitment to training and continuous improvement, this is vital to providing an excellent service to customers, your ongoing development and in meeting CQC compliance.

Experience in a similar role would be advantageous and existing knowledge of safeguarding and compliance within the health and social care sector would be great.
