We have been successful Provider's for 25 years offering residential care, supported living and floating support services. We are also unique to be able to offer people using our services the opportunity to go on holiday, accompanied by our staff, we have an apartment in Spain and a motorhome!

Staff training is of paramount importance to us. Standards for our staff are based on the Skills For Care National Occupational Standards. It is recognised that in order to achieve maximum outcomes and best quality care, staff must be and are trained to the highest standard.

Employees are supported in effective ways that enables healthy efficient staff, job satisfaction and good retention rates. We carry out regular managers meetings and regular staff meetings to ensure all staff are trained to carry out their duties effectively and responsibly and that all aspects and systems within the service are met.

What will the job entail?

  • Provide consistent personal care and support following care plans to service users: assisting with eating and drinking, toileting, washing dressing, good personal hygiene, medication administration
  • Heroic Care staff members are employed to work for Heroic Care and not a specific house. Support staff are expected to be flexible within their contract and are expected to cover shifts as part of a team to offer maximum consistency to our service users.
  • Support and promote service users to live as independently as possible
  • Work constructively and professionally with other staff as an effective member of the team
  • Establish and maintain a friendly, empathetic, informative, and professional relationship with families and other professionals
  • Comply with all policies
  • Support service users to keep their own home clean and tidy. Support them to carry-out all domestic tasks cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, putting clothes away, vacuuming, polishing.
  • Support and encourage service users to carryout community-based activities that will develop their inclusion, opportunities for volunteering, and future employment.
  • Assist with transport training for service users to attend health appointments, community opportunities, leisure, and educational needs.
  • Adhere to care plans and risk assessment activity plans
  • Carry out correct moving and handling procedures
  • Supervise and administer medications as required
