The Role

About Jasmine Court

Our Jasmine Court is a purpose built 3 storey home, specialist EMI Unit dedicated to providing care to both younger and older adults with mental health needs including challenging or complex behaviour who require twenty-four-hour nursing supervision and personal care in a safe and secure environment. The integrated Day Centre facilities provide additional space for residents who may need shorter placements i.e. 4 – 6 hours.

The ideal Kitchen Assistant

As our Kitchen Assistant you will be the heart of our care home as the key link between the main kitchen and the serving of food to our residents. You will be working with fantastic teams. preparing fresh, wholesome food like salads, sandwiches and vegetable preparation, cooking breakfasts, lunches and a freshly made hot dishes for evening mealtime. Serving meals and compilation of menus, maintaining kitchen cleaning schedules. Ensuring all preparation areas are kept clean. You will keep a close eye on stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures and following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines. From time to time, you will assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties. Preferred but not essential experience in working in a kitchen and hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Beyond that, it's all about your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people.

  • Willing to work a rota pattern covering Breakfast, lunches and dinner and weekends, over a 7-day period.
