The Role
Based in Leicestershire, you will carry out personal care for a male paraplegic in his 50's. This will
include daily care routine, rehabilitation, exercise, social and domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, shopping, light gardening and providing transport for attending appointments and outings in the community.
The hours of duty are between 8am-5pm and 8pm-9pm to be worked on a rota with another support worker.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To become familiar with daily routine.
To support client with personal care including bowel and bladder management.
Getting the client up with morning routine and putting to bedtime routines.
Shopping and when required, to prepare and serving meals.
To be responsible for domestic tasks including but not limiting to aspects of cleaning and tidying the house including ironing, vacuuming, laundry, dusting, windows, washing up and administrative duty etc.
To run household/personal errands as required.
To provide transport (drive) as required.
To help out with any miscellaneous tasks as and when required.
