The Role
Young lady in Loughborough is looking for caring, energetic individuals to join her support team.
Care is needed on a 24/7 basis to support her in her own home so a variety of shifts are available on a full or part time basis to start asap.
This role is all about promoting independence and enabling a young person to maximise their opportunities.
Experience of working with young adults with high functioning autism and related mental health difficulties an advantage but not essential.
She is looking for someone with a good sense of humour who is a quiet, patient listener and able to offer emotional support with a sensitivity to autism and mental health presentation, particularly anxiety.
She currently attends University and has a variety of interests including Rugby, Karate, Rowing and Boxing.
It's a must that you are a dog lover as she has a beautiful labradoodle called Rosie, so long walks will definitely be part of the job description. Along with supporting her in social and recreational activities in the local area and to advocate on her behalf if necessary. To assist with and to prompt / encourage completion of household chores in a supportive manner.
Access to a vehicle and a clean/current driving license required. There will be occasions when you will need to be available to accompany her to visit family who do not live locally.
