The Role

What will I be doing?

You will be supporting adults from 18 years of age with a range of activities. These will include everyday living needs, such as assisting with medications, supporting with health and medical appointments, through to the lighter side of life: bowling, swimming, going out for walks, listening to music, going into town, shopping or out for meals. (Of course at the moment people are focusing more on activities at home, but we all hope it won't be long before we can get out and about again as normal.)

On occasion, you will provide emotional reassurance and support to help people manage their behaviour, but we'll give you full training so you are aware of how to approach these situations should they arise. There is also some personal care involved with these roles, and one person is a wheelchair user.

What we need from you

You don't need experience to become a Support Worker but it's not easy. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no two days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring - it's something you'll never forget.

If you are patient, kind and creative, we'll teach you the rest so that together we can deliver the best possible support.

You must be a driver with your own transport insured for business use.
