The Role

You will be supporting in one of our care homes in Glenfield, with a range of activities from the everyday living needs and 'must dos' (such as assisting with medications, supporting with attending health and medical appointments, moving and handling, personal care and PBS support), through to the lighter side of life, doing things like supporting individuals going to the cinema, taking a walk to the local shops to get magazines, swimming, supporting to go to Leicester City football home games, helping to cook delicious healthy meals and getting involved with arts and crafts.

You'll also be supporting our adults with personal development through taking part in our highly praised training program.

This role is 37.5 hours a week working on a rota that consists of shifts covering 7am to 3pm or 2.45 to 10pm, 24/7 including weekends and bank holidays, with sleeps at the service.

About you

You will need a manual driving licence that allows you to drive in the UK.

Training and Development

At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.

But it doesn't stop there - throughout your career with us you will have access to our own dedicated in house Learning and Development team, Quality Specialists and HR Teams. These teams, along with your Manager, will provide you with opportunities to learn and develop professionally as well as enabling and supporting you to achieve professional qualifications and career progression opportunities - all free of charge.
