Would you like to support with people with mental health needs and learning disabilities in their own homes and in their communities? You can help them to have a more independent and fulfilling life whilst developing a career in social care!
We need full time support workers with previous experience supporting someone with mental health needs for our service in Ratby. We need someone who is flexible to work a variety of shifts both day and night.
Our service is a step through project for adults with mental health needs , the main bulk of support is teaching daily living skills and how to be able to live independently again as some of the people haven't done so for years. This includes cooking, cleaning, managing meds and money. You will also help them to build relationships with their families.
About The Role
- You'll support people with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, meal prep, personal care etc.
- Help the people you're supporting become more involved in their communities
- Support people socially and to enjoy hobbies and activities, like swimming or cycling
- Assist with volunteering/employment opportunities
- Support with holidays, trips and days out and more
Shift Patterns
As part of this role, shifts could include:
- Earlies
- Lates
- Sleep ins
- Waking nights
- Weekends
- Bank holidays
What skills and experience do I need?
Essential
- Previous experience

Desirable
- Full UK driving licence
