The Role

At Affinity Trust all of the people we support have a learning disability but many have associated health needs, dementia, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disability or mental health needs.

Job Summary and Duties:

We are currently looking for enthusiastic support workers to join our team and support individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs. The people we support live within a supported living complex in Loughborough, comprising of 10 flats with communal areas.

Experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities is preferred however, non-essential as we do provide full training and support to ensure you have all the skills needed to provide the very highest standard of support. Courses include medication administration, understanding autism, first aid and safeguarding. Training includes face–to-face sessions and e Learning courses. As part of the induction, process new Staff shadow experienced workers to gain greater insight in how to support each individual.

Joining our team at Affinity Trust will allow you to make developments with your career in the Health and Social care sector; whilst contributing towards improving the quality of life for the people we support. This role will involve tasks associated with day-to-day living, which may include:

  • Meal Preparation
  • Leisure Activities
  • Social Inclusion
  • Maintaining health and well-being

The level of support varies between individuals, providing a varied shift pattern, in which no two days are the same. This role is for days only and shifts may start anytime from 7am, and will finish by 10pm. We are looking to recruit for both full and part time positions.
