Would you like to be part of an exciting team?
We need dedicated senior support workers or Team Leaders to work with adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. This is also a great opportunity for senior carers (HCAs) looking to work in a different setting. Although experience is essential we will fully train you to ensure you have all the skills needed to provide the very highest standard of support.
We are looking for a Team Leader to join our supported living service in LE5. Previous experience in care is essential and experience in supporting individuals with mental health needs would be beneficial.
Being a driver with access to your own vehicle is essential to the role.
About The Role
- Work alongside the Support Manager to ensure that our staff are providing excellent support to the people that we work with
- Play a key role in day to day management of the location
- Provide support and supervision to the support staff
- Manage the rota and ensure that staff are fully trained
- Provide on the job coaching, feedback, and act as a role model
- Take part in an on-call rota to ensure that staff have access to support when it is needed
Shifts Patterns
This is a full time position working 37.5 hours a week. This post will mainly be rotated on to complete shifts throughout the week on either an early or a late basis, in addition our Team Leaders can also be required to complete administrative days.
Please note this role will also involve being part of on-call rota, to ensure staff have access to support whenever needed; a suitable candidate will have the flexibility to complete sleep in's or waking nights where required.
What skills and experience do I need?
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs
- Able to work flexibly on a 7-day rota
- Skills and interests in direct line management of staff and developing others
- People that share our values
- Excellent communication including verbal, written and IT skills
- Excellent time management and organisation
- Full UK driving license and own car
- Have (or be willing to work towards) a level 3 Qualifications & Credit Framework Diploma (QCF)
