Key Information & Criteria

  • £21K per annum plus paid mileage.
  • Usual hours of work – Monday to Friday but will include out of hours on rota basis. 08.00am – 16.00 hours
  • Some unsociable hours which does include some weekends. Monday to Friday 06.00am to 10.00 am, 17.00 hours to 22.00 hours. Saturday to Sunday 06.00 am 14.00 hours then 15.30 to 22.00 hours.
  • Refer a friend bonus scheme & paid holiday.
  • Full training provided including accredited training & specialist career development pathways.
  • Must hold or be working towards a Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as well as attend mandatory training and maintain continuing personal development (CPD).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a care setting.
  • 2 years' experience in a Supervisory or Coordinator role.

Job Description

You will support the Care Team to provide a variety of non-medical services that allow clients to remain in their own homes and enhance their quality of life. You will work with the recruitment team to ensure sufficient current and future staffing levels are met and ensure client schedules are matched to their needs, with the same care staff and the same times each week, where possible.

Care Coordinator – job description

  • Identify suitable matches for clients.
  • Schedule our Carers' weekly and monthly rotas.
  • Accepting, allocating and processing referrals for new work.
  • Talking to the customers on a regular basis.
  • Identify recruitment current and future needs.
  • Take part in the on-call rota on a rotational basis.
  • Doing care plans and audits
  • Doing supervisions, yearly staff appraisals, audit checks

The role will also include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and their families.
  • Ensure schedules are prepared, considering travel time, holidays, training, and last-minute cancellations.
  • Be responsive to changes in the schedule and liaise with relevant team members.
  • Match care staff to new clients in conjunction with client operations and arrange introductions.
  • Develop excellent relationships with both clients and care staff so both can enjoy positive experiences.
  • Work with the Care Team to ensure new and existing care packages can be resourced and scheduled on a timely basis.
  • Add and maintain all client and care staff information onto the electronic scheduling system.
  • Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with the companies Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunities Policy regarding employment and service delivery.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working in a scheduling role within the domiciliary care sector or other relevant environments such as logistics.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, CarePlanner, PASS, and CRM software experience, and can learn and adopt new technologies where appropriate.
  • Highly resilient and positive with excellent communications skills.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • You will need excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Logical and analytical with the ability to work on your initiative and meet deadlines.
