The Role

Gentleman in central Melton Mowbray is looking for an additional PA to work in conjunction with his existing staff. The hours are 15 per week to be worked on a set pattern of Monday to Friday 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm, 30-minute call between 9.00 pm and 11.00 pm (time negotiable) and flexible 2.5 hours. There will also be additional hours at times of holiday and sickness of the other PA.

Starting salary will be £10.00 per hour – rising to £11 following a satisfactory 6-month probationary period and then £12 after 12 months.

The main purpose of the role is to support him with all aspects of daily living, personal care and domestic tasks around the home. This will include assisting to wash/shower and dress, meal and drink preparation, keeping living areas clean and tidy. He uses a ceiling track hoist to transfer so experience of using this type of equipment would be needed.

Previous care experience desirable, most important is a willingness to listen to instruction and learn the role, an ability to use initiative and have a flexible approach. Good sense of humour and a calm, patient manner.
