Care is currently needed on a 24/7 basis to support in her own home so a variety of shifts are available to start asap, some weekend and nights may be required.

This role is all about enabling a young person to maximise their opportunities as they build their independence.

Experience of working with young adults with high functioning autism and related mental health difficulties an advantage but not essential.

We are looking for someone with a good sense of humour who is a quiet, patient listener and able to offer emotional support with a sensitivity to autism and mental health presentation, particularly anxiety.

Client has a variety of interests including Rugby, Karate, Rowing, Climbing and Scouts.

Must be a dog lover as client has a beautiful labradoodle called Rosie, so long walks will be part of the job description. Along with supporting in social and recreational activities in the local area and to advocate on client's behalf if necessary. To assist with and to prompt / encourage completion of household chores in a supportive manner.

Access to a vehicle and a clean/current driving license required. There will be occasions when you will need to be available to accompany her to visit family who do not live locally.
