The Role
To support 8.75 hours per week. Tasks: 45 mins AM Call (9:30-10:30) to support with transfer, all personal care; 7 days a week to support with bathing, drying, all personal care tasks, getting dressed, applying creams and skin care as needed. Client's mother will support PA with transfers until an OT assessment can be completed. 30 mins Night call (17:30-18:30): To support with all night routine: 7 days a week to support with bathing, drying, all personal care tasks, getting dressed, applying creams and skin care as needed. Client's mother will support PA with transfers until an OT assessment can be completed. Client diagnosis: Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Scoliosis, Type 2 diabetic. Communication: Client does not have the ability to speak or tell you their views. However, they are able to nod and respond by saying yes or no questions. Moving and handling: Client uses an electric wheelchair. There is a floor lift, ceiling track hoist and level access shower. Previous care experience desired but not essential.
