DAY CLUB COVER MANAGER

At Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland, we are recruiting for a Day Club Cover Manager for 2 days per week on a permanent basis. You will provide cover around Leicester & Leicestershire supporting older people attend the day centres. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has a desire to help run a brilliant service, ensuring our service users have fun filled days, with arts & crafts, day trips, being fully entertained, along with their individual needs being met and catered for.

The service not only adds value to our service users, but also to families and carers which is priceless.

This is a fantastic career opportunity, as you have the pleasure of meeting so many clients at different centres. You will work closely with the service manager and our remarkable Day Club Organisers and volunteers.

Key Skills & Characteristics

• A relevant qualification in health or social care setting
• Proven experience of supporting older and vulnerable people
• Previous experience of staff management or supervisory position
• Creative
• Have a supporting nature
• Personable & friendly
• Understand the needs of older people including, mobility, mental disability, dementia.
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Excellent IT skills
• Act with professionalism and integrity
• Organised with excellent planning skills
• Able to deal with challenging situations

Must be a car owner & driver with the ability to gain business insurance.

Hours: 16 hours per week

Salary: £12.17 per hour, £10,153.28 per annum

Base: Thorncroft, London Road, Leicester, LE2 1RH
