The Role

A sociable individual living in Earl Shilton requires support from either a self-employed PA or directly employed PA.

Preferred days/times: Monday 5 hours 9am-2pm
Wednesday 5 hours 9am-2pm
Friday 5 hours 9am-2pm

Tasks/duties: Support to access the community, taking client to the gym, for coffee and making lunch.

Client main diagnosis: Spina bifida, hydrocephalus, learning disability, sight impairment and mild speech impairment.

Communication:

Client has a mild speech impairment so can be difficult to understand by those who don't know them.

Moving and handling:

Client has poor balance and relies on a walking frame to mobilise. PA will need to be mindful of client's mobility when out in the community. Unable to manage stairs and requires ramp access.

Client interests: Enjoys going to the gym, baking, support to write a diary every day. Would like to improve spellings and writing. Client is very sociable and likes to help people.

PA will use their own vehicle and paid mileage at 45p per mile, directly by the client.

An enhanced DBS certificate is applicable to this role.
